by the USPS of Gulf Coast Lighthouses. Operation from Noon until 2 PM Central Time.
Will offer full color QSL cards bearing pictures of the respective lights.
QSL mailing instructions will be announced during the activations.

" U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Special Event Radio Day" for 2009
This year we will be commemorating the 70th anniversary of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Please pass this information to any USCG Auxiliary members that are Amateur radio operators.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, on Amateur radio H.F. frequencies. Any USCG Aux member that is an Amateur radio operator can set up an Official Special Event Station for this event. Event Stations are urged to invite other USCG Auxiliary members and also nonmembers to their Special Event Station.
